[A shrug. At the risk of sounding particularly vain, she had genuinely no idea.]

I'd say we got off on the wrong foot, but I sort of felt like I didn't get much of a chance. She'd made this...face when she mentioned Superhero Identities, so I asked her what she had against Superheroes. It all went mostly downhill from there.

That's why I was curious what exactly you said to her. But if all you did was mention my stage magic, then that couldn't be it.

Plus, you know, circumstances aside...it was almost flattering.
