Foreigner Welcome Center
Having
taken the project over from the original Pepper Potts after her disappearance, Jack began heading up the welcoming committee for new arrivals to Keeliai. With the
assistance of Emperor Eshai he was given a permit for a coveted centrally-located space in the city and with
funds stemming from his holdings at Stark Industries, he was able to set up a small, two room welcome center.
It's vaguely reminiscent of a
hotel information lounge with a couple consoles, assorted seating, a wall full of
city information and brochures and
maps. Listed also on this wall are addresses of kedan shops that are willing to
hire Foreigners for both short term and long term basis (these have been vetted by Jack himself so their owners are friendly to Foreigners). There are
two plaques on the wall: one commemorating the original welcoming committee to Pepper Potts and a second
in memoriam to the Ironwood Emperor Eshai.
There is also a small lending library of books that are in non-kedanese languages. The small back section has been set up as a mini office for coordinating things.
New arrivals will have the center's location mentioned to them by the assisting kedan who bring them from the Palace into the city*. Foreigner-offered services offered through the Welcome Center are:

MAY 2014 UPDATE - IMPORTANT!As part of the new
arrival process for newly summoned characters to the city, based on the updates from the May 2014
State of the Shell post, the Welcome Center will be handling new orientations in the city. They'll be discreetly escorted to the Center where its staff will assist them, bring them up to speed and get them squared away with everything including maps, funds and console training as needed.

OOC NOTEWhile there are PC characters filling the role of guides to the new arrivals, this does not have to be threaded out if the player prefers. Feel free to handwave the entirety of this arrival process as having already happened for your character if that better suits.
